Train Travel Tips
There are no first or second-class seats on the high-speed trains between Chengdu and Dujiangyan. Only one type of seat is available – a soft seat.
Please note that all of the high-speed trains depart from / arrive at Xipu Railway Station in Chengdu. The last station for most of the trains is Qingchengshan Railway Station. You can also take the trains from Chengdu to Qingchengshan.
Transportation to and from Xipu Railway Station and Dujiangyan Railway Station
The following public buses travel to Xipu Railway Station from Chengdu city center: 116, 119, 221, 310, 311, 704, 708, and 748. Subway Line 2 also travels to this station from Chengdu city center.
Dujiangyan Railway Station is about 6 kilometers (4 miles) away from Dujiangyan Irrigation System.
- It costs about 16 CNY and takes about 22 minutes to get there by taxi.
- It takes about 40 to 50 minutes by bus. The following public buses travel to Dujiangyan Irrigation System from Dujiangyan Railway Station: 4, 6, and 9.
